Amadeus Venice Hotel

Amadeus Venice Hotel has a convenient location to the city’s S. Lucia train station, which is just a short 5-minute walk away and Piazzale Rome only 10 minutes from the hotel.

From Piazzale Roma, you can catch one of the airport shuttle buses to Marco Polo airport, and getting to Saint Mark’s Square is easy, using vaporetto water buses, such as line no.1, which goes through the Grand Canal.

The four star hotel is often described as ‘elegant’, located within the sestiere, city district, of Cannaregio, with the Calatrava bridge offering direct access to the train station and car terminus Piazzale Roma.

Other highlights at the hotel are its Japanese restaurant, a lovely flower garden, and a meeting room for events and small conferences, as well as facilities decorated with Venetian style marbles and Murano glass objects.

There are a total of 63 Venetian style guest rooms to choose from at the hotel, all renovated to include all the modern comforts you’d expect from a four star hotel.

Each of the room has been furnished in traditional Venetian color schemes, and these rooms are available in:

classic,
superior, and
junior suite versions.

Features and amenities at the rooms include a private bath (tub or shower), a hairdryer, air conditioning, satellite TV, minibar, safe, and telephone. You can enhance your stay at the room by ordering room service, if you don’t feel like going out for dinner after a long day sightseeing.

As for the buffet breakfast, during the summer months, you can enjoy the meal at the hotel’s private garden, for a great start to a day in Venice.

The hotel’s restaurant, ‘Mirai Restaurant’, serves authentic Japanese culinary delights, where you can choose between traditional sushi and sashimi, tempura and shisoten, with the chef adding creative dishes to the menu. You can also sample the hotel’s range of saké, Japanese beers, and Italian wines.

Amadeus Venice Hotel is also a popular setting for events, having a Mozart Room venue for the purpose, which accommodates up to 140 people. The venue can be further divided into two separate, sound-proofed sections, both looking out onto the garden.

Thanks to its location within Venice, Hotel Amadeus is easy to get to, only 5 minutes on foot from the Santa Lucia Train Station, for example, or just 10 minutes from Piazzale Roma (the car traffic terminus).

Closest vaporetto water bus stop, meanwhile, is a three minute walk from the hotel.

Using the vaporetto connections you can quickly travel (via Grand Canal) to tourist attractions such as Rialto Bridge, Gallerie dell’Accademia,  and to Saint Mark’s Square.

Cannaregio neighborhood, where the hotel is located, is known as the art and media center of Venice.

As an example of this, Hotel Amadeus is only a few steps from Palazzo Labia, today housing offices for RAI (Italy’s public broadcasting network), which contains frescoes by Tiepolo, one of the the greatest 18th century Italian painters.

Other attractions nearby include the 16th century palazzo Ca’ Vendramin Calergi, a five minute walk away, today the home of the Venice Casino, but once the home of Richard Wagner, the great German composer.
