American Hotel Venice Italy is a three star accommodation that overlooks Canal of San Vio, located in a 17th century Venetian townhouse within the Dorsoduro district, 15 minute walk from St. Mark’s Square.
The hotel’s building within historic center of Venice, an antique 17th century palazzo, is located next to San Vio canal, with some of the rooms equipped with balconies for enjoying the canal views and lateral views of the Grand Canal.

Next door to the hotel, 250 meters away, you’ll find Acadamy of Fine Arts (Accademia di Belle Arti), Grand Canal being just a few steps from the hotel, and within minutes of walking, you find many important Venetian tourist attractions, including Ca’ Rezzonico, Peggy Guggenheim Collection, Palazzo Grassi, Punta della Dogana, and Rialto Bridge.

To getting around in Venice from the hotel, the nearest water taxi (vaporetto) stop, ‘Accademia’, is just 250 meters away, and you can also find ferries leaving to the Giudecca Island from the nearby ‘Zattere’ pier.
If you arrive in Venice via the Marco Polo airport, there are several options in getting from there to the hote, including private water taxis that can take you directly to the hotel’s private dock (always agree on the water taxi price before going onboard).
The private water taxi ride from the airport to the hotel takes about 40 minutes one-way.

From Zattere, you should follow the canal to your right, turning left after having crossed the first bridge on the way. Then, follow the s. vio canal for about 100 meters to the hotel.
The airport also has ATVO public buses directly to the Piazzale Roma terminus in Venice (a trip that takes about 25 minutes), as well as private land taxis, which will also take you to the terminus.
