Other major Venetian tourist attractions are not too far away either, with, for example, Saint Mark’s Square being just a 20 minute walk away.
In fact, the walk towards St. Mark’s Square contains some of the best shopping streets in the city. As an alternative, however, you can also take a public water bus (vaporetto), with the closest stop being just 200 meters from the hotel (next to the S. Lucia train station).
From that water bus stop, line 1 will take you Saint Mark’s Square in 15 minutes, through the main waterway in Venice, the Grand Canal.
