Dolomiti Hotel Venice is a 2 star hotel in Cannaregio district of the city, operated by the Basaldella family for over 70 years.
The hotel has a great location within the sestiere of Cannaregio, on a more quiet street of Calle Priuli ai Cavalletti, close to a wealth of Venetian craft workshops, shopping alleyways, and cultural attractions.

All in all, you can choose from a total of 32 guestrooms, most with private bathrooms, some with air conditioning, and all with a telephone.
Some of the hotel’s rooms are simple, affordable rooms, with simple wash-basins and other facilities on the same floor.
Breakfast, meanwhile, is served in the hotel’s dedicated breakfast room, which is located on the ground floor.
If you have any questions about your stay in Venice or your room / facilities & services at the hotel, you can always contact the reception and other members of the staff, who are there to make sure your stay goes as smoothly as possible.
In terms of location, Hotel Dolomiti is not too far from Venice’s Santa Lucia railway station and the Piazzale Roma (Venice’s main car parking area and a bus terminal).
Also, you’ll find several ferry stops very close to the hotel for getting to other districts and islands within Venetian lagoon.
For location, one of the best features of the hotel is that it is situated so near the railway station, which means that if you are arriving by a train, you only need to walk a short route, passing the Church of the Scalzi, to Calle Priuli ai Cavalletti.
If you are using a rental car for your arrival to Venice, you can park your car in one of the garages at Piazzale Roma (Garage Comunale or Garage San Marco).
From Piazzale Roma, to reach the hotel, you should head to where the main ferry boats depart (including water bus line n° 1). If you use vaporetto line 1, you should get off at “Ferrovia” stop (railway station). You can cross the Grand Canal from there using “traghetto” gondolas (for EUR 2 per person).
Another possibility to park your car is to the Tronchetto island parking lot, from where you can use vaporetto water bus line 2 to get to “Ferrovia” stop (railway station).
Alternatively, if you arrive to Venice Marco Polo airport, there are shuttle buses that travel between the airport and Piazzale Roma, with all buses ATVO bus company departures timed for the arrival and departure of main flights.
From the airport, the route takes about 20 minutes to Piazzale Roma terminus, where the main water bus lines depart, including vaporetto line 1.

Piazzale Roma is also served by ACTV public buses, which make a lot of stops along the way to Piazzale Roma and taking about 25 minutes in total.
Private car taxis to Piazzale Roma from the airport are faster, but the fares are higher. Same applies to water taxis, which can take you to the nearest landing point to the hotel, allowing you to walk the rest of the way on foot.
