The hotel, officially ‘Best Western Hotel Cavalletto and Doge Orseolo of Venice’, is positioned to overlook the Orseolo Basin, among the most enchanting areas of the old town, next door to the Saint Mark’s Square, which is only a 50 meter walk away.
Thanks to its age-old experience in hospitality and comfort, the hotel has gained a reputation for steady high quality of services, and with a classic atmosphere, a feeling enhanced by the Venetian style rooms. Past guests at the hotel have included, for example, Richard Strauss, Winston Churchill, and the Duke of Aosta.
All the 107 rooms of Albergo Cavalletto have been designed to offer similar classical Venetian look & feel.
However, the guest rooms have been renovated throughout the years to also feature modern comforts you’d expect from a 4 star residence in Venice, such as a satellite TV, minibar, air conditioning, direct line telephones, and wireless (Wifi) broadband internet.
For views, some of the rooms have vistas to the Orseolo Basin and the romantic view of gondolas that travel there. If you want a canal view, remember to specifically book a room with ‘Canal View’.
Most of the canal view rooms also feature highlights such as pastel tapestries and bathrooms finished in classic, polished Botticino marbles.
Guest services in the hotel include a (buffet) breakfast, which is served from 7am to 10am, an Internet corner, airport/train station transfers (for an extra charge), à la carte snack bar, and several terraces available to guests, where you can relax with a drink after a long day sightseeing.
In addition, Cavalletto Hotel has a private landing dock, where gondolas and water taxis can take you directly, which is very convenient, if you take a water taxi directly from the Marco Polo Airport to the hotel (you don’t have to carry luggage around Venice to get to the hotel).
Hotel Cavalletto Venice has a bar, ‘Bar del Doge’ and restaurant, ‘Ristorante Il Cavalletto’ (located 100 meters from the hotel), with both offering Venetian delicacies and amazing views to the Orseolo Basin.
Other guest services at the hotel include:
24h reception desk
