In terms of location, Hotel Rivamare is within Lido, an island on the Venetian lagoon known for golden beaches, pine groves, and for being a host for the world-famous annual International Film Festival.
To get to the hotel, you can use the available public water bus ferries that depart from, for example, Tronchetto island, Piazzale Roma, and from Venice Train Station towards Lido.
From the Marco Polo Airport, on the other hand, there are direct speed boat services, “Alilaguna” that can take you to the Lido island. Once the speed boat ferry arrives in Lido, you need to take either bus A or B towards Alberoni (with bus departures every 10 minutes), getting off at Sant’Antonio, walking to via Calmo and finally arriving at the hotel (on your left).
For the International Film Festival, the location of Hotel Rivamare Venice Lido is ideal: 50 meters from Hotel Excelsior (popular with film stars) and 200 meters from Palazzo del Cinema, the main venue for the festival celebrating movies and filmmaking. There is also a private beach a stone’s throw from the accommodation.
To get around in Lido, which is a 14 km long island, you can use the public buses, which will take you to San Nicolò in 10 minutes, to Gran Viale in 5 minutes, and to the center of the Lido in 10 minutes, which features delightful shops and boutiques.

Not too far from the hotel, towards the south, you can find the ancient district of Malamocco, with its prestigious Venice golf course and riding school.
Transportation to the historical city center of Venice, meanwhile, is available from Piazzale Santa Maria Elisabetta, from where vaporetto water buses and motorboats depart to Venice (and you’ll be in Saint Mark’s Square in 10 minutes).
